A gentle breeze tossed petals and fallen leaves around the clearing, leaving the young magnificently designed male. His fur was of intricate marks, his solid colour was a flitting, powerful dusty brown, with streaks and sparks of golden yellow colour. His face was masked with thick dark stripes of deep browns blacks. His wings were a wonder, not something many Shizen had. They were large, with a wingspan of 5 - 6 feet, with thin zig-zaging lines tracing them. They were a darker brown than his pelt, with patches of white and lighter brown. They were butterfly wings, that of a very unusually large span. His eyes glowed with a lovely golden yellow shine, with flecks of dark brown circling his pupils. He was standing easily in the middle of the 'camp' of the Aveale territory. It was more of a shelter, the place the members of this pack stayed during the night, set things up in the morning. But there was usually a bustle of wolves leaving the shelter and doing their own thing. They were a very independent race. So it was unusual to find this hefty male in the middle of it. His eyes scanned the area, and he finally shifted his weight and walked with a courage and pride that even he sometimes could not hold.
Walk into the open air, that was what he needed. The emptiness of the lands were unusual, and he wasn't impressed with it either, but he wasn't leader of the territory, oh no. Sure he would want to be, but it wasn't up to him. The earth and it's ancestors would let the animals and the plants know who should lead, who should be whom, and everything that was needed was usually up to them. He inhaled deeply, his wings shifting with unease and anticipation to do something, anything that would keep his mind off of his interest in leadership. Muscles rippling slightly under this thick pelt, he continued through the trees, to stand upon the slopes of Aveale land. He stopped and waited, for something interesting to happen.

A wolf, no scratch that, an angel was gracing the earth. Or that's how it seemed to watching animals and wolves as she walked through the Aveale territory. With fur the color of white snow and the feel of the softest down, with the figure of a maned wolf and eyes a exotic silver-blue, with matching stocking markings on each of her four legs, she was considered one of the greatest beauties of the Shizen. Though she certainly didn't have the persona of an angel. She carried a small bundle of plants, marking her as the Avelae Healer, Scheherazade. Her wing's feathers fluttered as a faint breeze caught them, and riding on that breeze came a scent that made the Aveale Healer begin to walk towards it's origin.
Another Shizen.
Not that it really mattered, but this scent was strange to the fae. But then again, she never really bothered to memorize the scents of most pack members. So it could have only been a pack-mate who's name was a mystery to her. Scheherzade wasn't one to take chances. Breaking out into a run that was hard to follow with the eyes, she was soon airborne, her large bird wings stretched out as she scanned the Aveale land below. Her eyes passed over a herd of deer, grazing peacefully in a meadow. Several birds flew around her, quickly veering away as soon as they realized she was a wolf, a natural enemy and predator. But she wasn't interested in hunting right now. Flying farther down, she soon spotted the wolf who's scent she had smelled. It was another Shizen, by the looks of it. It was a male, sporting a pair of unusually large butterfly wings and a light brown coat, with dashes of gold here and there, and several blackish brown markings on his head. Taking all this in, Scheherzade decided he would probably not harm her, and if he did, she could escape quickly with a beat of her twelve foot wings or a few movements of her slender legs. Landing softly at the base of the slope that led up to the clearing that was a makeshift 'camp' for the Aveale, the fae looked up at him with her trademark expressionless and cold face, and spoke in her icily polite tone that she always used for strangers, though it was not much different than the tone she used when speaking to most wolves. "If I may inquire, sir, who are you? And are you a member of the Aveale?"

Noises of pawsteps caressed his ear lobes, and he turned his broad head to look for the source. Herbs of some sort came to his nostrils and instinct told him to inhale the scent of them. He smiled cockily and watched the beautiful Shizen, another of his kind. It was out of habit that he took another step toward her and watched her pools of colour. He then lifted his gaze, taking in her sweet smell, her amazing posture, her sense of what she was. He blinked suddenly realising something. She had spoken to him, something that was slightly unfamiliar, his vocals strained and he replied with a deep, suductive voice that boomed easily around her ears, not loud, but not soft.
He spoke, with an importance, even if he was a newcomer, and wasn't Alpha, or Beta, or any wolf of importance. "If I must reply, I should do so with this. I am Hokori, a Member of this tribe of Aveale," he breathed in again the air around him, his massive wings stirring and his ears swivelling to catch what her response would be. It was very important to him now, to speak, to even interact with other of his kind. He felt like he hadn't done this for a lifetime, and now was his chance, his chance to change.
He stopped, glancing off slightly, to explore slightly. It wasn't that he was bored of the conversation, no it was because he had no idea where anything way, who might be living here, and why he was here, of all places. He knew why though, it was because he was born to live in this land, born to survive, not die like his ancestors had, he was meant to be on this land, with these wolves. Even the air around him shivered with anticipation when he passed. But it faded imediately. He was supposed to be here, but so was everyone else. He wasn't so important that he was the center of this universe, he was just a bigger part of it then someone else.

Gently setting her precious bundle on the grass, the fae carefully arranged them into a safe position with one delicate paw and then looked back up at the brute, who was now speaking. The sound that reached her auds was new to her ears. Not really in a bad way. It seemed to soothe her ears, and for a moment, she thought it's tone was very much like the purr of a feline. On a more negative note, it also sounded like it was coated in quite a bit of honey. How arrogant. But he could be one of the wolves who had voices like that. In that case, it would mark her as paranoid. "If I must reply, I should do so with this. I am Hokori, a Member of this tribe of Aveale," The gall of it. If I must? The healer felt that her pride was a bit wounded. If she had not been in such a pleasant mood, she would have already given him a sound lashing with her tongue. But he spared.
Her face not changing in the slightest way as she hid her indignation, she replied "As I thought. I do not recognize your name nor your face, Hokori, so I am assuming you are a new member?" Pausing for a moment, she let a couple of seconds pass before continuing. "If so, I would like to formally make an introduction. I'm Scheherzade. The healer of Aveale"

Interest flickered across his features, and he stepped back slightly, watching her with a renewed curiosity that took the best of him. He followed the movement that proceeded with her arranging her herbs that Hokori had scented from when she first arrived. He noticed how protecting them in a way, putting in a safe place. Orbs following her eyes, he smiled slightly, a slight twitch to the edges of his maw, followed by a slight glint in his eyes. This young fae was quite amusing in her own way. But he wasn't as interested in nearly forbidden love with another. It was allowed, but it usually caused Tribe Healers hardship to care for young and heal and treat patients at the same time. Male Healers had the advantage of allowing pups from their genes, as they did not carry milk for their young. He noticed, once his inner speech had ended that she looked slightly annoyed at the aspect of what he had said. He blinked, then tilted his head and lowered it. A sign of respect, though it was slighly embarassing to do so, he did it anyway. She was like royalty, she was an important member in the Tribe.
He listened intently, enjoying the feel of her soft voice in his own ears. Her annoyance disappeared as soon as it had come, he had no sense that she was annoyed, though he still recognised that he must of said something, that was unintential. But he was very headstrong and loyal to mostly himself and whoever was in charge. Although she was a higher rank than he, though it was a difficult aspect for his mind to register. As I though. I do not recognise your name not your face, Hokori, so I am assuming you are a new Member? he shifted his tail letting the wind stir his wings as he shifted his position. "Yes, I am a newcomer to this land. And I am very intrigued to have met you, m'lady," his deep, gentle voice sounded again. Bowing his head again he stepped foreward to make a more respectful welcome to the young Healer. His nose brushed the side of her face and he went lower to the ground and let out a low whine of gratitude, his eyes rolling back to show the whites, then he waited for her to let him up. This was the highest gift of respect a wolf could give to his higher ranks.

He must have realized his mistake She thought, as he dipped his head in a sign of respect. Expected. What she didn't expect was the male dropping low, his eyes rolling back to reveal the whites, and him emitting a low whine. As if she were a queen. It was an admirable effort, and Scheherazade thought it was quite endearing. But unless he was the lowest ranked wolf that ever lived, he was not required to do that. Scheherazade, despite her inner feeling of he's sucking up to you, felt slightly pleased, but only a vague amusement showed on her face as she spoke. "Rise, Hokori. I am only the Healer, not the Alphess." She said, a trace of laughter in her voice. Oh no, not the mocking kind, but rather an amused laugh.
Taking a small step back, she gave him enough room to rise without accidently bumping into her. Despite her best efforts to keep her face straight, her refined mask cracked and she laughed a high, tinkly, but pleasant laugh. Letting it fade, she refocused her silver-blue eyes back on Hokori. "Sorry, it's just that I've never had anyone do that for me." She said, sparing him a rare smile. He was intresting alright. Being rude one moment, than groveling the next, so she had decided he deserved it.

He nodded gently, then rose to his paws with ease, tilting his head to the side slightly as she moved away and laughed slightly at him. Smiling in equal amusement he watched her face. "I realise that, but I am still not of any importance. I may not be the lowest, but I am close to it. But you must realise you are alongside the Alpha's, whether you are Healer or not. You are very unique to be living in this land, his deep, easy-flowing voice sounded again.
He smiled when she spoke for the last time from that moment. He had not really understood, she had never had anyone bow down to her, for anything. Very unusual, as all Healers were bowed to at the beginning of a friendship, or meeting. He nodded his head. "Unusual for a pretty fae like you," he rumbled, flicking his tail and yet again ruffling his wings, if only slightly.

Scheherzade couldn't deny that many thought she was easy on the eyes, but the fae wasn't as shallow as some of the other, she looked more towards the heart for attraction to another, though a handsome wolf was a nice bonus, she had to admit. So the flattery didn't have to much of an affect on the healer. I appreciate the thought, Hokori. And you never know, one day you could be a higher rank than me. It all depends on how you interact." The fae said, responding to his words, slowly returning to her normal, regal expression and posture. "though it really depends on the wolves you interact with, I'd say you'll do quite well with Avelae" She added, repaying him a bit for the compliment, as though she didn't really like flattery, how was Hokori to know that. Her voice had also slowly returned to it's rather cold, but still somewhat kind tone.
[[ugh, I feel like this is not one of my better posts, but my muse has been really low these days, sorry!]]

OOC: If it is a problem, I could think up a plot for the two wolves. My muse is pretty low aswell. IC: Hokori bowed his head as she listened, eagerly awaiting the moment to find something to do. It was not that talking was boring him, no. It was the fact the 'camp' was empty, and the hunger growling in his stomach caused him to find more interest in hunting, rather than speaking. Interest flickered across his gaze as he listened. "And you never know, one day you could be a higher rank them me. It all depends on you you interact." he took in her words slowly, almost tasting them. It was interesting, finding that possibly he could be the one to lead other wolves that would join Aveale. Notice of her discomfort with flattery was confusing to him, most other fae's enjoyed being spoken to with flattery from other males. His wings stirred and he made them go still, thinking of something to reply to her with.
Finally it came to him, "thank you for your advice, Scheherzade. I appretiate it. If I have disturbed you, or made you annoyed, I appologize, I have not spoken for a long while. Realising others feelings is something I have not gotten familiar with," he rumbled, eyes flickering with apology, then he backed off and turned to the trees, his hunger increasing. "Since it is wrong of me to leave so suddenly, I want to ask you if you are hungry. As this area has no smell of meat, I should suppose it would be best to stock it, at least with enough for the two of us. As no other wolf has joined as of yet," his confident voice rumbled once again. He nodded his head, awaiting her answer.
